Dr Samuel Ayeh, an aspiring Deputy National Communications Officer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has criticised Dennis Miracles Aboagye, the Communications Director of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), over his assessment of NDC’s leadership.
According to Dr. Ayeh Kojo Fosu Boadu, popularly known as Kojo Bamba, cannot be as a potential national chairman of the NDC as claimed by Miracles.
Speaking on Accra FM, Dr Ayeh questioned whether Mr Bamba had the stature and leadership qualities to lead the party, pointing to the standing of some NDC regional chairpersons as examples of the qualities he expected in a national chairman.
“My brother, Miracles Aboagye, has sat on a platform saying the person they have elected as the First Vice Chairman, Kojo Bamba, can be a chairman in NDC,” he said.
“He can’t be our cupboard monitor, bellboy or blackboard cleaner. He can’t be. Who will work for him?”
Dr Ayeh, who is also a presidential staffer, cited the party’s regional chairpersons in the Central, Ashanti, Eastern and Bono regions as examples of leaders he believes command respect.
He mentioned Prof. Asiedu in the Central Region, Nana Kwasi in the Ashanti Region, Dr Ing. Mark Oliver Kevor in the Eastern Region and an ambassador in the Bono Region.
“When you see [Nana Kwasi] walking alone, can’t you see the gentleman in him?” he asked, referring to the Ashanti Regional Chairman.
He also said the Bono Regional Chairman commanded respect, using the regional leaders to support his argument about the qualities expected of an NDC chairman.
