
The Minister for Communication, Digital Technology, and Innovations, Samuel Nartey George, has called on graduates to become leaders in Ghana’s digital economy. Speaking at Perez University College’s 9th graduation ceremony, he encouraged the Class of 2025 to drive innovation, integrity, and leadership in shaping a technology-driven future.
George highlighted the rapidly changing nature of work and the need for adaptability, continuous learning, and leadership. He emphasized the government’s vision for a 24-hour digital economy, supported by smart infrastructure and data-driven public services. The minister outlined ongoing initiatives, including the Smart Data Exchange, One Million Coders, and the National Startup Ecosystem.

The Chancellor of Perez University College, Archbishop Charles Agyinasare, called for financial support for private universities, while the Director-General of GTEC, Prof. Ahmed Jinapor Abdullai, commended the university’s impact on widening access to tertiary education.
